Many great champions rode in Adidas shoes like Rudi Altig or Jan Ullrich, but none made bigger impact than certain Eddy Merckx. The fact that the Cannibal himself won pretty much everything in shoes with 3 stripes made them an instant hit. But it was not just the endorsement, it was also a proof of sheer quality and absolute coolnes.

This Adias Vuleta II pair comes straight from the late 90s. This model was popular in pro-peloton. The straps are reinforced with kevlar and the stiff sole is of nylon with carbon fiber.
